PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition capable of administering a pharmacodynamically effective ingredient at a constant rate for a long period in release behavior of zero order without causing the initial burst of the pharmacodynamically effective ingredient by dissolving or uniformly dispersing finasteride in two or more copolymers having specific copolymerization ratios.
CONSTITUTION: This composition is obtained by dissolving or uniformly dispersing (A) finasteride in (B) lactic acid-glycolic acid copolymers having two or more different copolymerization ratios, preferably comprising (i) at least one copolymer having (1:9) to (2:8) copolymerization ratio (L-lactic acid/glycolic acid) of the lactic acid to glycolic acid and (ii) at least one copolymer having (4:6) to (9:1) copolymerization ratio (L-lactic acid/glycolic acid). Furthermore, the compositional ratio of the ingredients (i) to (ii) is preferably (1:100) to (100:1) and the number-average molecular weight of the ingredient (B) is preferably 1500-5000. The compositional ratio of the ingredients is preferably 0.1-100 pts.wt. ingredient (B) based on 1 pt.wt. ingredient (A).
