To obtain the subject preparation including bezafibrate and capable of manifesting a constant sustained release pattern within a large range of a pressure by forming granules of the preparation under a specific condition and compressing the granules to mold.
This preparation is obtained by adding vehicle and hydroxypropylcellulose to bezafibrate useful as a treating agent for hyperlipemia as a drug efficacy ingredient, granulating and drying the bezafibrate with added material by kneading the one with an aqueous solution of sodium lauryl sulfate to provide granules, and compressing the granules to mold. The hydroxypropylcellulose of 4-10wt.% is added based on the amount of the preparation, the sodium lauryl sulfate of 0.4-4wt.% is used based on the amount of the tablet, and the total thereof is included within the range of 4.4-14wt.%. The elution of the whole of the bezafibrate requires at least 5hr from the preparation and at least 90% of the bezafibrate elutes in the 5hr.
