Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide swimming goggles by which advancing direction can be seen without raising and turning the face in that direction.

CONSTITUTION: A frame band 2 is formed of a synthetic resin, and a cutout part 2a to be locked on the bridge of the nose and two holes 2b for surrounding both eyes of the face are formed. Respective transparent sheaths 4 are bonded on the edges of the holes 2b. A rubber band 3 is connected to both ends of the frame band 2. Respective transparent sheaths 4 are formed of transparent synthetic resin. These transparent sheaths 4 are hollow, and respective semi-transparent mirrors 5 are fixed inside those sheaths. These semi-transparent mirrors 5 reflect incident light of 50% and permeate the incident light of 50%. If this submergible glass is put on, a swimmer can be simultaneously seen the field of view in the advancing direction and the field of view of the front as a double image.
