Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a swing measuring method which directly measures the behavior of a swing without receiving the influence of bending of an impact implement like a golf club or base ball bat and a golf swing analyzing method which is capable of obtaining the behavior of a grip part during a golf swing with a simple and effective model.
SOLUTION: A three-dimensional magnetic sensor capable of measuring the measurement position and the direction of the measurement position within a magnetic field of a known distribution relating to intensity and direction is fixed to the grip part and the behavior of the swing is directly measured. The three-dimensional position coordinates and direction of the grip part during the swing with the golf club are obtained by using this measuring method and the orbit of the grip part is approximated in a circle within the swing plane, by which the arm angle, wrist angle and shaft rotating angle during the swing are determined and the behavior of the swing is analyzed.
