Abstract:
To restrict output torque in a speed reduction mechanism.SOLUTION: A part of a swingable disc 5 of a swingable disc type speed reduction mechanism is made of a soft magnetic metal ring such as iron, and the soft magnetic metal ring part is sequentially attracted by a permanent magnet or an electromagnet, then brought into pressure contact with a pressure contact ring 6, and rotated in a swingable manner to reduce a speed. Consequently, if an overload occurs on an output shaft side, output torque is limited by providing a spherical bearing 9 so that the contact of a friction part or the meshing of teeth overcomes magnetic force and is naturally released.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
