PURPOSE: To provide a switch controller which can simplify the constitution and cut down the cost.
CONSTITUTION: A switch means 6 with contacts and a switch means 4 without a contact are inserted in series into a load circuit. A rectifying means 12 gets the full wave rectifying signal of each-phase current supplied to the load. Detecting means 14, 16, and 18 detect the current application to the load, the overload condition of the load, and the open phase condition of the load, based on its full wave rectifying signal. A logical operation means 20 outputs a control signal to put the switching means 4 without a contact forcedly in OFF condition in the case of any one of faults: a communication signal is not outputted from the detecting means 14, 16, and 18; an overload signal is outputted; and an open phase signal is outputted, during the time till outputting a control signal to put a switching means 6 with contacts and a switching means 4 without a contact in OFF condition after outputting a control signal to put them in ON condition, and besides it outputs a control signal to forcedly put the switching means 6 with contacts in OFF condition in the case of a fault that a communication signal is outputted even if this control signal is outputted.
