Metal members 31, 30, which have respectively a protruded part and a recessed part of which top ends are more protruded and more recessed than the movable contact 27 or the fixed contact 26, are supported by the movable electric conduction shaft 27 and the fixed electric conduction shaft 25, and they are provided so as to surround the movable contact 26 and the fixed contact 25 respectively, and the protruded part of the metal member 31 and the recessed part of the metal member 30 are arranged so as to be engaged each other at the position where the fixed contact 26 and the movable contact 27 contact each other. With this structure, a switch device having a vacuum valve that has excellent insulating performance, even if no-load switching is made, can be provided.
