Abstract:
PURPOSE:To easily perform switching of the flow passage in a flow passage switch valve having a large diameter flow passage and a small diameter flow passage connected to the former by providing large and small valves respectively closing said flow passages on a common shaft in a rotatable manner, and by making the inner wall surface of the respective large and small valves flush with the inner wall surface of the large diameter flow passage. CONSTITUTION:A valve box 1 has a large diameter flow passage 2 and a small diameter flow passage 3, and a rotary valve 6 is disposed at the junction of the two flow passages 2, 3. In this embodiment, the rotary valve 6 has a large valve 7 which is sufficient to close the large diameter flow passage 2 and a small valve 8 for controlling the diameter of the large diameter flow passage 2 at the time when the fluid is desirably routed only to the small diameter flow passage 3. When fully opened to route the fluid to both the large and small flow passages 2, 3 flat surface of the respective inner walls of the large and small valves 7, 8 is made flush with the large diameter flow passage. On the other hand, when a flow in the small diameter flow passage 3 is desired, the secondary side of the large diameter flow passage 2 is closed by the large valve 7. In such a case, the small valve 8 limits the diameter of the large diameter flow passage 2, and maintains a clearance enough to allow a flow to the small diameter flow passage 3.
