To provide a switch having a high reliability wherein a switching mechanism does not carry out a contact point switching actuation arbitrarily even if a head case is separated from a switch body case.
This is the switch wherein the head case 4 provided with an operation mechanism 6 against a switching mechanism 5 is being coupled with the body case 3 equipped with the return-biased switching mechanism 5, and a forced displacing means 20 to forcefully displace the switching mechanism 5 into a contact point switching state of switch-off is equipped at the body case 3 side, and this is constituted so that the forced displacing operation added to the switching mechanism 5 by the forced displacing means 20 will be liberated in a state that the head case 4 is being coupled with the body case 3, and so that the forced displacing operation will be added to the switching mechanism 5 by the forced displacement means 20 in a state that the head case 4 is being separated from the body case 3.
