To provide a switch capable of surely performing electric connection and disconnection in a simple structure regarding the switch mainly used for control of turning-on and off of a stop lamp of a vehicle.
A fixed contact 12 mounted on an inner wall of an approximately boxy case 1 and a contact section 14B of an end retained on an operational body 3 are formed by uniform silver particles with small particle sizes on the surface of a movable contact 14 elastically brought into contact with the fixed contact 12, and smooth elastic sliding contact between the fixed contact 12 and the movable contact 14 is carried out by preparing a glossy silver plating layer having high hardness and fine surface roughness. Thus, the switch capable of lessening wear on the plating layer and surely performing stable electric connection and disconnection can be obtained even though the operation of the switch is repeated for a long period.
