Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a switching power-supply apparatus which has an increased power factor and reduced harmonic current components.
CONSTITUTION: A series circuit of a primary winding 21 of a transformer 20 and a switching element 24 is connected between positive and negative output terminals of a full-wave rectifier 3. A first diode 8 and a second diode 9 are connected at their anodes, respectively, to one pair of input terminals of the full-wave rectifier 3. An input capacitor 10 is connected between the cathode terminals of the first and second diodes 8, 9 and the negative output terminal of the full-wave rectifier 3. Then, a series circuit of a diode 11 and a tertiary winding 23 of the transformer 20 is connected between the cathode terminals of the first and second diodes 8, 9 and the positive output terminal of the full- wave rectifier 3. The switching element 24 is controller so as to be turned on and off by a control circuit 36 so that the output voltage of a secondary winding 22 of the transformer 20 is stabilized.
