Title:
SWITCHING POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3227644
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching power supply circuit which, even if a switching operation is stopped by the decline in an input voltage, can restart the switching operation when the input voltage is recovered.
SOLUTION: When the power supply voltage of a control IC 4 is obtained from an input voltage Vin, a Zener diode 6a whose breakdown voltage is slightly larger than a voltage by which the short-circuit protective function of the control IC 4 functions and a resistor 6b are provided between the input voltage Vin and the control IC 4. By this method, when the input voltage declines, before the short-circuit protective function functions, the power supply voltage is lowered to a voltage below an operable voltage, and the operation is stopped. With this constitution, even if the switching operation is stopped by the decline in the input voltage, switching operation can be restarted when the input voltage is recovered.
