Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching regulator that is satisfactorily responsive to a load change and facilitates a protection design against an excessive reactor current.SOLUTION: An adder 33 adds a pseudo command value C1 proportional to a reactor current IL to a reference command value C0 generated on the basis of an error signal E and a capacitor current IC, a limiter 34 limits an output of the adder 33, and an adder 35 adds a polarity inversion of the pseudo command value C1 to an output of the limiter 34 to cancel the pseudo command value C1 reflected in the command value in outputting a command value C. This can limit the reactor current IL in a simple configuration while keeping a characteristic of the reference command value C0 (specifically, satisfactory responsiveness to load change).
