Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a switching regulator in which power loss of a driving circuit can be alleviated and a power efficiency can be enhanced by suppressing a driving current to a switching element to a minimum limit.
CONSTITUTION: In a switching regulator having a transformer 8 connected to a drive signal source and a switching transistor 5 connected to the drive signal source side of the transformer 8 to store magnetic energy in the transformer 8 when the transistor 5 is ON and to output the stored energy when the transistor 5 is OFF, a sawtooth wave generator 7 is interposed to be connected between the drive signal source and the transistor 5.
