PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To synchronize vertical synchronization signals of a plurality of transmission devices that are in the same network and transmit video without complicated interaction of packets or complicated processes at transmission device sides.SOLUTION: A synchronization signal generation device comprises: a detection unit (synchronization information generation unit 209) for detecting vertical synchronization signals (synchronization signals 215) from a plurality of connected transmission devices (cameras) 10; a measuring unit (synchronization information generation unit 209: step S102) for measuring (counting) an interval between the vertical synchronization signals (synchronization signals 215) in units of clocks; an error calculation unit (synchronization information generation unit 209: step S103) for calculating difference of a measured interval of the vertical synchronization signals from the interval between the vertical synchronization signals serving as a reference; and a transmission unit (reception device communication unit 201: step S104) for transmitting synchronization information including the calculated difference to the transmission devices 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
