Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synchronizer capable of generating a large synchronized force by a small operating force, and securing durability.SOLUTION: When a sleeve 4 is moved in the axial direction by the small operating force and a second conical surface 10a is brought into contact with a first conical surface 6b, a relative speed difference is generated between a synchronizing ring 10 and a hub 3, and a large synchronized force is generated by a first cam surface 10b of the synchronizing ring 10 and a second cam surface 3c of the hub 3 until the relative speed difference is eliminated. The top end surface 4a1 of a second spline 4a formed on the sleeve 4 reaches a clutch gear 6 without coming into contact with the synchronizing ring 10, and therefore, the synchronized force generated on the first cam surface 10b and the second cam surface 3c are hardly affected by wear amounts of the second conical surface 10a and first conical surface 6b and the dimensional tolerance of axial direction. Thereby, a synchronizing time is prevented from being fluctuated and the failure of a synchronizing function is prevented from occurring due to wear or the like, and the durability can be secured.
