Abstract:
To provide a synchronous motor driving device capable of correcting a position of a rotor on control if an initial polarity discrimination of magnet polarity of a magnet provided on a rotor fails.SOLUTION: The synchronous motor driving device includes: an inverter main circuit that drives a synchronous motor; a current detection unit that detects an output current output from the inverter main circuit; a command generation unit that determines a command value of the output current; a voltage command generating unit for generating a voltage command for energizing the synchronous motor based on the output current; a rotor position angular velocity calculation unit for calculating a rotor position and an angular velocity; and a rotor position correcting unit that corrects the rotor position obtained by the calculation by determining a magnet polarity provided in the rotor of the synchronous motor based on a polarity determination index.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
