Abstract:

To provide a synergistic stabilizer composition having thermoplastic polymer (e.g. polyethylene), or an article a prolonged lifetime as measured by carbonyl formation or time to brittleness even when the article is exposed to continuous extraction and aggressive and/or hazardous chemicals.

This composition contains (a) a random copolymer of ethylene (I) with a hindered-amine-moiety-containing acrylate or methacrylate (II) and at least one light-stabilizing compound based on a sterically hindered amine (HAS) and/or a UV absorber.
