PURPOSE: To obtain the subject substance by oxidizing an alkene to obtain butanal, reacting it with an N-acyloxazolidinone to obtain an aldol aduct, the ring system is replaced with an amide group to be followed by the reaction with a haloether and further several processes.
CONSTITUTION: A compound of formula I (P is a hydroxy protective group) is reacted with an oxidizing agent to obtain butanal, which is reacted with an N-acyloxazolidinone in the presence of a trialkylamine and a dialkyl boron fluoroalkylsulfonate to obtain a compound of formula II, which, after the ring system being replaced with an amide group, is reacted with haloether to obtain a compound of formula III, which, after being reduced, is reacted with an alkali metal hydride and a methylating agent to obtain the objective compound of formula IV.
