PURPOSE: To give durability in the case of providing high tension in a wide body racket by using a nylon copolymer monofilament, consisting of specific copolymer composition, as a core thread.
CONSTITUTION: A relatively thick synthetic resin monofilament is used as a core thread 1 with its periphery wound by a plurality of, normally 2 to 20, relatively thin synthetic resin monofilaments as a winding thread 2, and a winding structure, adhesively attached by a suitable adhesive agent 3, is obtained. For this core thread 1, a nylon copolymer monofilament with solution viscosity 4.0 or more and copolymerization ratio of nylon6/nylon66 90/10 to 80/20 (polymerization ratio) is used, while for the winding thread 2, a nylon monofilament with solution viscosity 2.8 to 3.4 is used. By selecting a kind of the core thread and the winding thread thus obtained, adhesion of the winding thread for the core thread is improved, and by more effectively displaying heat resistance and wearing resistance of the winding thread, high tension is displayed even by a thin gage type gut, further excellent durability atably usable for a game of long time can be obtained.
