PURPOSE: To improve cut-off properties and workability as well as enhance a strength when a pipe is used in a drainage civil work by a method wherein an outer peripheral surface of a synthetic resin corrugated pipe having a smooth inner surface is made substantially smooth, and specific recesses are imparted to parts for covering trough parts of the corrugated part.
CONSTITUTION: In a corrugated pipe, an inner surface 2 is smooth, ridge parts 3 and trough parts 4 are alternately and helically formed on the outer peripheral surface, and an assumed circumferential surface connecting the outer peripheral surfaces of the ridge parts 3 is covered with a synthetic resin band body 9. The ridge parts 3 each having a hollow part 6 and the trough parts 4 are alternately continuously formed. The synthetic resin band body 9 is put on outer peripheral surfaces 8 of the ridge parts 3 and above the trough parts 4. The band body 9 (a cover 5) put above the trough parts 4 is recessed inward of the trough parts 4 so as to meet a relational expression of 0.1P≥d≥0.01P where P is a distance between center lines X, X' of adjacent two ridge parts 3, 3 and the cover 5 is recessed from an outermost peripheral surface 7 of the corrugated pipe by a distance (d).
