Title:
SYNTHETIC RESIN SHEET AND COLD STORAGE USING THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3292708
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthetic resin sheet having both of high modulus of elasticity and excellent low-temperature impact property.
SOLUTION: This synthetic resin sheet has the low-temperature impact properties as follows: (1) the tensile modulus is ≥18,000 kgf/cm2, when it is measured according to JIS K-7113; (2) the whole absorption energy is ≥2 J/mm at -20°C according to the instrumentally multiaxial shock test for hard plastics (the polymeric material center); (3) the ratio of the whole energy absorption at -20°C (E-20) to that at 23°C(E23) is ≥0.5 (as E-20/E23) When these tests are carried out, there happens no radial cracks on the shocked face and characteristically pierces through the sheet. This synthetic resin sheet can be produced by using a shock-resistant styrene resin composition and formed to vessels and can be used for refrigerating frozen food, ice cream sherbets and the like.
