Title:
SYNTHETIC RESIN TILE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03227463
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the subject tile having high surface hardness, good stain resistance, excellent heat and chemical resistances and good workability by forming a coated cured layer comprising a specific curable phosphazene compound on a tile base material.

CONSTITUTION: A coating material containing a compound of the formula (X is curable double bond-containing group; Y is non-wrable group; a+b=3; the curable double bond-containing groups are 2-6), especially a curable phosphazene compound wherein X is 2-(methacryloyloxy) ethyloxy group, etc.; and Y is halogen (especially fluorine), carbonyl, etc.; is coated on a base material preferably comprising polyvinyl chloride resin and subsequently cured with the irradiation of UV rays to provide a synthetic tile having good balanced properties on surface hardness, weldability, cutting property, heat resistance, stain resistance, etc. The addition of 5-70wt.% of an inorganic or organic filler (e.g. silica or acrylic resin) into the coated cured layer permits to further improve the strength and hardness of the tile.
