PURPOSE: To enable the efficient printing of a handwriting slip with good positional accuracy, by moving a printing head to a cursor position to select a scale image memory and printing a scale made variable in a line interval to a handwriting slip and performing correction on the basis of said scale by a cursor moving means.
CONSTITUTION: A handwriting slip is set to a printing apparatus 2. When the first line of the handwriting slip does not coincide with a printing head, a printing head moving part 1-4 is repeatedly operated until coincidence is obtained. When said first line coincides with the printing head, a scale is taken out to be stored in a scale image memory. A multiplexer 1-3 is operated to selected the scale image memory to apply scale printing onto the handwriting slip. The handwriting slip, to which dot printing was applied, is used as a test slip and, when the scale does not coincide with the handwriting slip, the scale line interval is altered to a dot unit by a scale line interval alteration part 1-8 to be corrected. A required character is inputted by moving a cursor. The handwriting slip is set and the multiplexer 1-3 is changed over to be connected to an input character memory 1-5 to perform printing.
