Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of picture information transmission by detecting the transmission error of a transmission controlling procedure signal by replacing data of the address field and control field of the received transmission controlling procedure signal for each other. CONSTITUTION:In case where a switch 10 is turned on and the operation of a HDLC field data replacing section 9 is set to become effective, CRC calculation is executed in a state where no transmission error is contained in an address field AF and control field CF by respectively replacing the bit patterns of the address field AF and control field CF with FFH and COH or C8H. Therefore, the probability of producing a transmission error can be suppressed and, as a result, the transmitting efficiency of a procedure signal is improved.
