This system for detecting human movement position-detects the movement of a man on a start stand for race with a detection sensor 2 installed in a roof 1 of the start stand, compares the result with the start signal from a start pistol 103 and a time forming means 104 via a measuring means 101, processes the output signal as the change amount of a physical quantity with a calculation/comparison/false start judging means 102, and outputs the data as the final output to a visual display (containing the display from an external output to a large image device) such as a print-out, a signal lamp and an LED or an audible display such as a buzzer.
