Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To flexibly correspond to encoding systems such as various compressions by a simple configuration, and also easily prevent them from being illegally used.
SOLUTION: The reproducing device 1 reproduces information stored in an attachable memory medium 2. ROM 23 of the memory medium 2 stores the program data which defines the information data encoded beforehand by an unspecified encoding system and the decoding function corresponding to the encoding system. CPU 11 of the reproducing device 1 fetches the program data from ROM 23 of the memory medium 2 via CPU 21, and stores them in RAM13 to be loaded into DSP 12. DSP 12 functions as a decoder, and decodes the encoded information data supplied from the memory medium 2, and supplies the data for reproduction.
