This radio communication terminal is provided with a means for selecting a radio system to be connected at the mean moving speed of radio terminals when a plurality of radio systems whose service areas are different are present, and handoff destination selection processing of different radio systems is started by using the fact that the mean moving speed crosses a certain threshold as a trigger. Also, the current throughput is compared with the presumed throughput of handoff destination in the case of selecting handoff destination, and when it is estimated that the throughput is improved, processing of handoff is performed. The radio terminal incorporates a plurality of pieces of communication equipment and performs the selection processing of the handoff destination while communicating with the current radio system.
