To provide a system for harvesting field crops capable of readily carrying out the load taking of the field crops in a field and efficient transportation thereof to a load collection site.
This system for harvesting field crops comprises a harvester 2 designed to harvest cabbages K raised in a field H and then place the cabbages K near a harvesting site in the field H and a load taking device 10. The cabbages K harvested with the harvester 2 are filled in a container C and taken as a load with the load taking device 10 installed on a load- carrying platform 22 of a load taking working vehicle 1, equipped with crawler type mobile devices 25, composed so as to enable the travel in the field H and on a road R and is capable of traveling in the field H, moving to the vicinity of the harvested cabbages K, subsequently loading the container C onto the load-carrying platform 22 with the load taking device 10, then traveling in the field H and on the road R and carrying out the transportation thereof to a load collection site S, where the container C is unloaded by reusing the load loading device 10.
