Abstract:
To provide a system and a method for detecting a device connected to a network.
The method includes a step for sending a scan request to a remote command process working on a remote network host, a step for scanning the network host by the remote command process and deciding whether the device is connected to the host or not, a step for receiving a response to a scan request from the remote command process, which shows wether the device is connected to the network host or not. The remote command process sends the scan request to the application program interface of the host and receives a device address. The remote command process requests information from the device by using the address.
