Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system and an image forming method by which post-processing is restarted without aborting paper housed in an inter mediate tray even in the case that the post-processing is interrupted.
SOLUTION: In the case that paper jamming is caused before the paper P08 is carried to the intermediate tray (timing T14), image forming processing and the post-processing are interrupted. Then, information with respect to the progress state of the post-processing at the point of time of the interruption of the post-processing such as an ejection count value (m) and a stack count value (n) are obtained based on both output signals from a carrying detection sensor and an ejection detection sensor. When adequate switch and button or the like are operated after an operator removes only jammed paper P08 and eliminates an error, the image I03 formed on the paper P08 by receiving it is formed on the paper P08 as a first image after restart and is carried to a finisher 2.
