Abstract:
To provide a system for facilitating automated positioning of a composite workpiece in a work cell and conformance of the composite workpiece to a predetermined or desired shape in the work cell during post-cure processing.SOLUTION: A system (100) for handling a composite workpiece (102) includes a work cell and a plurality of workpiece holders (222) to hold a composite workpiece (102) in the work cell. Each of the workpiece holders (222) is selectively controlled to position the composite workpiece (102) in the work cell and to conform the composite workpiece (102) to an as-built shape of the composite workpiece (102).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
