PURPOSE: To provide a system which perform both a lottery ticket transaction and an article transaction.

CONSTITUTION: In the system which performs the transactions, a group of lottery ticket vending terminals are connected to a lottery center processing center. A POS(Point-Of-Sales) terminal 56 and a bar code scanner 58 are connected to each lottery ticket vending terminal 52. The lottery ticket vending terminal can send information from the bar code scanner 58 to the POS terminal 56 through the scanner interface of the POS terminal 56 by using expected scanner data format, and send lottery ticket information to the POS terminal 56 by using similar data format. A group of POS terminals 56 are connected to an in-store processor to recognize and record both lottery data and article data.
