Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure a level of a driver's alertness and increase the level of alertness to take into consideration when the driver is drowsy.SOLUTION: Interacting with a driver on the basis of the driver's context helps continue alerting the driver. The context is determined by determining driver characteristics including interests and by monitoring circumstances surrounding the driver, such as the state of the driver using sensors included in the vehicle, the state of the vehicle, and the information about the driver's current locale. The driver interest information is obtained and is used to generate actions that are recommendable to the driver on the basis of the driver's context. The actions are used to continue alerting the driver.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
