The system 1 for searching the die mounted on a working machine in order to perform a bending operation comprises a user side computer system 2 provided for the user, and a die characteristic data storing means 7 storing the die characteristic data concerning the dies supplied by the supplier. The user side computer system 2 has a die characteristic data acquiring section 15. The die characteristic data acquiring section 15 carries out the searching operation for identifying the die from the memory 17 of the user side computer system 2, and changes the searching destination from the memory 17 to the supplier side die characteristic data storing means 7 when a specified condition is satisfied.
