To provide a system and method which can execute speed control provided with a stall protection function by an existing relay.
The system includes a DC brush motor, at least one relay connected between the motor and a power source, a speed detection circuit constituted and arranged for generating a signal indicating a rotational speed of the motor, and a motor control/protection circuit for (1) receiving a signal from the speed detection circuit, and (2) being constituted to be arranged for a control signal input for operating at least one relay in order to control operation of the motor. The motor control/protection circuit controls at least one relay so as to configure that the motor is separated from the power source in the case that a stall state is detected based on the signal from the speed detection circuit.
