To provide a server stored information updating system which compares page data of a public Web server with page data of a nonpublic Web server and adopts, if not agreeing, the page data of the nonpublic Web server.

The information updating system comprises a means for updating nonpublic information and public information so that both may have mutually the same contents and storing them in a storage device, a means for disclosing public information to outside, a means for restoring the public information after comparing the nonpublic information with the nonpublic information and, if there are discrepancies in the contents, replacing the public information with the nonpublic information, a means for examining access information to the public information, and a means for rejecting access, based on the examination result of the access information.
