Title:
SYSTEM FOR MOBILE OBJECT OBSERVATION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000147107
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To make distinguishable a plurality of mobile objects from each other to be able to capture them by calculating the inner product of a position vector and an average movement vector in unit length for every movement object, and by deciding that the movement object with the maximum inner product as a main movement object.

Whenever each detection signal of a plurality of movement objects is inputted from a detection circuit 5, a position vector calculation circuit 6 calculates the direction of a transmission/reception antenna 1 corresponding to input timing, distance to the movement object where a scattered wave occurred, and a direction for outputting as a position vector. Also, whenever each position vector is inputted, a tracking circuit 7 establishes the relationship between the position vector and that in the previous scan period, and calculates the velocity and the direction of each movement object for the scan period based on the amount of displacement for outputting as a velocity vector. An inner product operation circuit 8 calculates the inner product of the position vector and an average velocity vector of unit length for outputting. A main target position estimation circuit 9 judges the movement object with the maximum inner product in the period for each scan period as a main movement object.
