Abstract:
The present disclosure is directed to a system (100) for regulating a flow of air (26) into a turbomachine (10). The system (100) includes an inlet section (12) of the turbomachine (10) and a damper (64) having an actuator (68) and a restriction (70). The damper (64) is positioned within the inlet section (12) and operable to regulate the flow of air (26) into the turbomachine (10) based on a position of the restriction (70). The system (100) also includes a controller (104) communicatively coupled to the damper (64). The controller (104) is configured to control the position of the restriction (70) to regulate the flow of air (26) into the turbomachine (10) based on a current operating condition of the turbomachine (10).
