To provide a T-nut which is so constructed as to prevent oil, coating or the like from entering a shaft part as much as possible and which allows a small amount of oil to enter the shaft part so that a bolt can be always screwed in the T-nut smoothly.
The T-nut comprises the cylindrical shaft part 2, an outer flange portion 33a extending outwardly from a first end of the shaft part 2 and an inner flange portion 33b extending inwardly in opposition to the outer flange portion 33a of the cylindrical shaft part 2, the cylindrical shaft part 2, the outer flange portion 33a and the inner flange portion 33b being integrally formed of a metal plate by press work. The T-nut includes a female screw formation portion 35 with a female screw 36 formed at least at a portion of the cylindrical shaft part 2. Further, the T-nut includes a hole 44 formed in the vicinity of the center of the inner flange portion 33b at the time of forming the inner flange portion 33b of the metal plate by press work integrally with the shaft part 2 and the outer flange portion 33a.
