PURPOSE: To provide a table elevating device for a paper hopper which can hold a table surface approximately in a horizontal state when a table is rapidly lowered during setting of paper sheets, in the table elevating device for the paper hopper which feeds paper sheets to an electronic photographing device.
CONSTITUTION: A table elevating device for a paper hopper comprises at least one resilient member 2 through the force of which a table 1 where paper sheets 6 are loaded is suspended and always energized in a rising direction, constant pulleys 3a and 3b fixed at least two pairs at each of positions above and below both sides of the table 1, and wire ropes 4a and 4b which are independently on both sides wound in an 8-shape around the respective constant pulleys 3a and 3b and fixed in the two spots of each side of the table 1 and vertically driving the table 1. At least one pair, positioned facing each other, of the constant pulleys 3a and 3b are intercoupled through a common rotary shaft 7, and a clutch 8 having a given play angle is located in the middle of the rotary shaft 7.
