To allow a wheel chair user bush as an elderly person, a sick person or the like to arrive at a prescribed position in the neighborhood of a table, to move away from a prescribed position in the neighborhood of the table and to stand up from a chair without necessitating a helper by providing a recessed part for placing a hand along the side edge of a top plate on the rear surface of the top plate.

A groove 29 as the recessed part is formed to be nearly inversely U-shaped in a plane along the side edge of the top plate 22. The groove 29 is formed to be semi-circular at its cross-section and continuously extended in the same shape along the side edge of the top plate 22. A cover 19 consisting of a synthetic resin soft material such as polyethylene is joined with an adhesive so as to cover the groove 29. The wheel chair user 34 moves with a wheel chair 35 to the neighborhood of the table and extends his hands 36 to the rear surface of the table from there. Then he/she hooks his extended hands 36 at the grove 29 covered with the cover and tightly fits his/her fingers at the groove 29 by pressing the cover. Then he/she pulls his/her own body while adjusting by himself/herself from the groove 29 where his/her hands 36 is hooked, as the start point.
