Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tablet inspection/housing device having a simple structure capable of accurately detecting the length of a tablet and capable of shortening an inspection cycle time.
SOLUTION: The tablets T successively and continuously supplied in a lined-up state from a tablet feeder are directly housed in the predetermined pocket P of a tablet holder 40 as they are. Thereafter, the tablet holder 40 is slightly moved (by a distance below the diameter D of each of the tablets T) to expose each of the tablets T already housed in the tablet holder 40 in the vicinity of the terminal thereof as a result. The exposed part of each of the tablets T is utilized to detect the length L of each of the tablets T by two optical sensors 42 and 44 set and positioned corresponding to the shortest allowable length L1 and the longest allowable length L2.
