PURPOSE: To obtain a powdery tacky agent, having powerful tackiness and persistent effects thereof and useful for fixing denture bases by combining powder of a polyacrylic, acid salt which is a stringy polymer with powder of a polymer organic acid and powder of a nonstringy polymer which is useful as a food or pharmaceutically acceptable.
CONSTITUTION: A tacky agent is obtained by combining powder of a polyacrylate (e.g. Na polyacrylate) with powder of a polymer organic acid (e.g. carboxyvinyl polymer) and powder of a nonstringy polymer (e.g. sodium carboxymethyl cellulose) which is useful as a food or pharmaceutically acceptable as a tackifying ingredient and useful for fixing denture bases. For example, the aforementioned agent has effects on improvement in bonding and fitting of the dentures to gingivae and more stabilized fixing of the denture bases. Tackiness and persistence are excellent by blending the nonstringy polymer with the polymer organic acid and the pH in dissolving is suitable with good feeling of use.
