Abstract:

To provide a tactile sensor that can detect three components (X-axis, Y-axis and Z-axis) of force applied to a distortion generating section having one or a plurality of array-like projecting shapes, has high stability, and can improve the mass productivity, and to provide its manufacturing method.

This tactile sensor includes a base 4 that is made of elastic resin material having flexibility of a desired hardness and has at least one distortion generating section 3 with a projecting shape on a supporting section 2 having a flat surface, and strain gauges 7 arranged in at least three places at a predetermined angle interval only on the outer surface of the distortion generating section 3.
