Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a separable or breakaway type tamper evident cap capable of performing the effective sealing function.
CONSTITUTION: A cap comprises a top wall 12 and a plastic skirt 14 suspended from the top wall, the skirt includes a line 17 of weakness and an elastic lower free end, and the lower free end is formed into a pre-stressed, at least 50° arc- shaped resilient part 24 to reinforce the engaging and interfering functions with the container. The pre-stressed curled part is narrower than the skirt 14 before a cap 10 is fitted, and interfered with the container when the cap 10 is fitted, and separates the line of weakness to indicate the condition of the container when the cap 10 is first detached from the container.
