Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily obtain a carried metallocene/aluminoxane solid catalyst in a high yield by mixing under stirring a fine aluminoxane particle suspension prepared by a specified method with a specified amount of a metallocene solution and then removing a solvent.
SOLUTION: An inert solvent, water and an emulsifier are mixed at a volume ratio of 100:(0.5 to 10):(0.1 to 1) to produce a water-in-oil emulsion. This emulsion is dropped under stirring in an inert atmosphere at -10 to 40°C at a rate of 0.2-20ml/min to a 5-30wt.% organoaluminum compound solution in an inert solvent so as to give a molar ratio of the organoaluminum compound to the water in the emulsion of (0.8 to 2):1. This system is then reacted for 1-4hr by heating to 40-80°C to give a fine aluminoxane particle suspension. This suspension is mixed with a metallocene solution so as to provide a molar ratio of transition metal atoms to Al atoms of 1:(100 to 10,000) under stirring at 0-60°C for 1-4hr, and the solvent is then removed to give a solid catalyst.
