PURPOSE: To simply and smoothly carry out the tanning treatment by carrying out the tanning treatment of a dustproof filter material using an apparatus wherein a pair of roll having grooves perpendicular to a shaft and a pair of roll having grooves parallel to a shaft are arranged alternately.
CONSTITUTION: A tanning roll of a tanning treatment apparatus comprises a roll 1,1' having grooves perpendicular to a shaft on the peripheral surface thereof and a roll 2,2' having grooves parallel to a shaft on the peripheral surface thereof and the roll 1,1' and the roll 2,2' are arranged at a set alternately, a filter material 7 such as a dustproof mask and the like used in a welding factory and the like is passed the tanning roll 1,1' and 2,2' of three sets A,B,C, through pinch roll 4,4' from an uncoiler 3, thereafter wound up on the winding roll 6 through a pinch roll 5,5'. Thereby, the bending action of a traverse and longitudinal direction is applied alternately to the filter material 7 and the smooth tanning treatment is carried out.
