Title:
Tantalum powder
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP6147200
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
For the production of valve metal powders they are deoxidized using reducing metals under an inert carrier gas. Deoxidation is performed with liquid reducing metals/metal hydrides without contact with the valve metal powders. The deoxidizing apparatus has a reactor (1) with two reactor chambers linked by a channel (6). One reactor chamber (2) contains a crucible (4) for the primary powder and the other reactor chamber (3) has a crucible (5) for the reducing metal/metal hydride to be evaporated, and it has an inert gas feed (10) of helium, neon or argon. Separate heating units (7-9) set the required temperatures (T1-T3).
