Abstract:
To enhance accuracy in threading a nut by eliminating the restriction in reduction of a clearance between the nut and the linear part of the shank of a tap with a handle used in an automatic threading machine to make the clearance as small as possible.
The outer diameter of the linear part 3a of the shank 3 is made closer to the inner diameter of the nut N as much as possible. A trimmed part 4 is formed on the outer periphery of the linear part 3a, and a path 5 to allow chips produced in making a tap part 2 to move is formed between the trimmed part 4 and the inner wall of the nut N.
